Born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, James C. Staton is proud to live and serve clients in his hometown. After receiving an undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from Miami University in Oxford, Mr. Staton decided to enroll in the Dayton University School of Law. While earning his Juris Doctor, Mr. Staton served on the Constitutional Law Moot Court team and worked with the University of Dayton Law Clinic to represent low-income clients — all while interning with the Butler County Prosecutor's Office.

Upon graduating, Mr. Staton passed both the state and federal bar exams and set out to start his own law firm. After a few years as a solo practitioner, Mr. Staton eventually decided to merge with Mark Fisher and PJ Conboy to form Staton, Fisher & Conboy LLC. Now, after more than 20 years of serving individuals and families across the Dayton, Ohio area, Mr. Staton continues to use his extensive legal knowledge and experience to help individuals with a variety of family law issues.

Growing up just outside of Dayton in Huber Heights, Mark A. Fisher has spent his entire life living and working in his hometown. After graduating with honors from Wright State University with a degree in accounting and finance, Mr. Fisher chose to pursue a career in the legal profession and was quickly accepted into the University of Dayton School of Law where he, like his colleague James Staton, served in the law clinic representing low-income clients while interning with the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.

After receiving his Juris Doctor and passing both the state and federal bar exams, Mr. Fisher started his own practice in an effort to provide personalized attention to each and every one of his clients. With over 25 years of legal knowledge and experience, Mr. Fisher is proud to continue to provide reliable legal services to individuals and families across Dayton and the surrounding communities of Ohio.

Patrick J. (PJ) Conboy II was born in Sumter, South Carolina, but raised in Syracuse, New York. After earning an Associate's degree in criminal justice, Mr. Conboy decided to pursue a Bachelor's degree in political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His interest the law only grew, and by the time he graduated, he was accepted into the University of Dayton School of Law where he would go onto clerk for a Common Pleas Judge and work as a legal assistant. After receiving his Juris Doctor, Mr. Conboy immediately passed both the state and federal bars and set out to start his own practice.

Early on, Mr. Conboy's practice focused on a variety of different areas of the law, enabling him to practice in various courts throughout the state of Ohio. In 2004, Mr. Conboy decided to join James Staton and Mark Fisher to form Staton, Fisher & Conboy LLC. Now, after more than 15 years with the firm and more than 20 years serving clients across the Dayton, Ohio area, Mr. Conboy continues to work hard to provide strong legal counsel and support to those who need it most.
